The new mining map under the great changes
Update Time : 2020-12-16 View : 2520

The world is in a great change situation that has not happened in a hundred years. The world is changing rapidly, and China is also responding to the changes. In addition, it has also played a set of combined tactics: "new infrastructure construction", western development in the new era, export to domestic sales, new urbanization, domestic circulation, etc.
01
Mining industry "export pressure, domestic demand good"
At the executive meeting of the State Council on January 3 and the Political Bureau meeting of the Central Committee on February 21 and March 4, the "new infrastructure" was mentioned.
On May 17, Xinhua news agency was authorized to issue the "guiding opinions of the CPC Central Committee and the State Council on promoting the western development and forming a new pattern in the new era".
On June 15, China abandoned a case defending its market economy status at the World Trade Organization (WTO).
On June 22, the general office of the State Council issued the implementation opinions on supporting the transformation of export products into domestic sales, which opened the door for the transformation of export products into domestic sales.
The executive meeting of the State Council held on July 22 made it clear that we should promote the new type of urbanization with people as the core.
On July 30, Xinhua news agency released and broadcast the draft of the mid year Political Bureau meeting, stressing once again "to accelerate the formation of a new development pattern with the major domestic cycle as the main body and the domestic and international dual circulation promoting each other".
On July 30, the meeting of the Political Bureau included "promoting investment and consumption demand through new urbanization" into the part of expanding domestic demand.
Don't think the seven things mentioned above have nothing to do with each other. In fact, they are closely related. To sum up, there are eight words: export pressure, domestic demand is good.
For the mining industry, on the one hand, the driving force of the "export" of the mining industry is declining; on the other hand, the domestic demand of the mining industry is expanding day by day, and a new mining pattern with domestic and international circulation as the main body and domestic and international mutual promotion is gradually formed.
There are two main reasons
First, for a long time in the future, the phenomenon of reverse globalization will become more and more obvious, and the export of mining trade will be shrinking day by day, which is shown in the following aspects: more and more international trade barriers and more frequent trade frictions.
According to the official website of the Ministry of industry and information technology:
In 2019, the total import and export trade of nonferrous metals industry will decrease by 12.4% and the export value will decrease by 6.7% year on year.
From January to June in 2020, the export of aluminum products decreased by 15.1% year on year.
From January to June 2020, the export of refined copper decreased by 32.2% year on year.
From January to June 2020, China's export of lead-acid batteries decreased by 7.4% year on year.
From January to may in 2020, the export value of building materials and non-metallic minerals decreased by 14.1% year on year.
From January to April in 2020, the export of electrolytic manganese decreased by 6.21% year on year. In April, the export of electrolytic manganese decreased by 10.34% month on month.
From January to march in 2020, the coke export decreased by 65.9% year on year.
According to the data of the General Administration of Customs: in June, the export of steel products decreased by 30.2% year-on-year; from January to June, the cumulative export of steel products decreased by 16.5% year-on-year.
Second, in economics, investment, consumption and export are often compared to the "troika" driving GDP growth. It is also the "troika" that drives the development of mining industry. When exports are weak, in order to stabilize the development of mining industry, we must vigorously stimulate consumption and expand domestic demand.
In the face of this unprecedentedly complex situation, "external demand" does not give up, and "domestic demand" is closely dependent, which is the new trend of mining development.
Therefore, a series of measures to drive the development of mining industry, such as "new infrastructure", "export to domestic sales", "western development in the new era" and "new urbanization", have emerged as the times require.
But before talking about how these measures can promote the development of mining industry, we should first explain how mining is closely connected with life and production.
02
Without mining industry, development is the cooking without rice
Mining industry is the material basis of national economic development. People often call coal the "food" of industry and oil the "blood" of industry. As Cai Meifeng, an academician of the Chinese Academy of engineering, has said that 95% of our energy, 80% of our raw materials and more than 70% of our agricultural means of production are provided by mining. In a word, everything related to life and production involves mineral resources, such as real estate, construction, transportation, home appliance communication, electric power, packaging and machinery manufacturing
1. The real estate industry directly / indirectly drives nearly 60% of the consumption of mineral resources.
The real estate industry directly consumes 70% of construction minerals (cement limestone, marble, clay, etc.), 60% of glass minerals (quartz, selenium, boron, etc.), 60% of steel, 60% of titanium (coating), 57% of vanadium (for steel-making), 54% of manganese (for steel-making), 50% of coal (cement, steel, glass and other building materials are the industries that consume the largest amount of coal and electricity), and 50% of the total Pyrophyllite (for steelmaking), 45% zinc (radiators and pipes), 35% aluminum, 30% natural gas.
Real estate related products. 16% of copper is used in household appliances, 14% in indoor circuits and 4% in construction, accounting for 34% in total. 85% of nickel is used in stainless steel, and stainless steel is mostly used in household cooking utensils and tableware. More than 60% of indium is used to produce color TV and other displays. These minerals are also related to architecture.
2. Mining is widely used in life, production and other aspects
Coal: widely used in China's electric power, industry, civil and many other fields.
Petroleum: mainly used in industry, transportation, life consumption, construction industry and other departments.
Natural gas: mainly used in industrial, civil, chemical, power, transportation and other departments.
Steel: is one of the most important raw materials in the process of industrialization, mainly used in the construction industry. Iron ore is the raw material of steel.
Copper: widely used in electric power, household appliances, machinery, construction, transportation, electronic communication and other fields.
Aluminum: mainly used in construction, transportation, home appliances communication, power, packaging and machinery manufacturing and other fields.
Lead: mainly used in the production of lead-acid batteries, used in domestic cars, motorcycles
